PRINT, RE-PRODUCTION & PUBLICATION IN THE ERA OF AN ASSUMED UNNECESSITY
Workshop with Willem Oorebeek (2007)

”Within the bigger distinguishable eras in history, that what is changing is not only the way of existence in human collectiva, but also the way of their sensorial perception.”

Walter Benjamin

”The image of change (progress) is often iconoclastic.”

Willem Oorebeek

The title for this workshop is not for nothing based on Walter Benjamin´s publication Art in the Era of Its Technical Reproducibility.
The workshop however, focuses not primarly on the text itself, but on the mutual perception of the participants as individual (artists) in the landscape dominated by media and technological progress.

The contributions that reflect (on) this individual position are brought together in the format of this fanzine, one of the remaining formats to express personally motivated choice and deliberations.
